In the last round of the Swedish elite league of the season Uppsala won their tenth straight Swedish Championship.
The venue for the competition was the miniature golf course of Uppsala where the home team showed that there is no other team that is equal in strengt in Sweden. This years elite league was won by a margin of nine points. Uppsala won all the final seven matches at their home course and lost only one of 21 matches this season. Very impressive!
Individually Carl-Johan Ryner is still going strong. He was by quite a margin the best player. Also he was the only one with a blue total score. Others who played well was Anders Olsson of Uppsala and this years Swedish champion in stroke play Filiph Svensson.
Before this round it was evident that Uppsala would win the elite League. They had a margin that no other team realistically could overcome. The question was which team would accompany Uppsala to this years European Cup. Tantogården had a margin of three points going in to this round. And even though Kungälv on third place won the match aganist Tantogården, played already in the first round of this gathering, they could not catch up to the team from Stockholm. Tantogården won the silver medal by a margin of five points to Kungälv.
Exiting the elite league to play in the first division next year will be Sundsvall and Olofström.
Tyresö and Jönköping each won the two first divisions and will play next year in the elite league.
