The third and last leg of the Finnish League took place on miniature and was held at Koivukylä, Vantaa on July 23rd & 24th. Team Manse 1, which started the weekend in a lead of the League, kept its position and got to celebrate the victory! In spite of Manse 1’s four point lead the final weekend of the Finnish League anything but boring. Manse 1 got unexpectedly only two wins of six matches which offered MG-Aces and Botnia a chance to win the whole league. However, MG-Aces couldn’t arrange a real fight for the championship when it also lost four matches. MG-Aces took remarkable wins against both Botnia and Manse 1 and won silver for the second time in a row.
Botnia was able to hang in the championship fight longer against Manse 1 than MG-Aces. After all the winner was assured before last round when Manse 1 improved and won the sixth round against TuRGS with seven shots. Both Botnia and MG-Aces gathered 20 points but during the League MG-Aces beat Botnia more often than Botnia beat MG-Aces and that’s why Botnia had to be satisfied with bronze. TuRGS was absolutely the best team of the weekend - three players at top five and only two lost matches!
The final order:
Manse 1 from Tampere, 24 points
MG-Aces from Pori, 20
Botnia from Vaasa, 20
TuRGS from Turku, 19
TaRGS from Helsinki, 15
SMGK from Helsinki, 14
Manse 2 from Tampere 14
After winning the Finnish League, Manse 1 will participate in the Europe Cup 2016 (in September). Manse’s ladies team is also going to play in Neutraubling after earned the place in Finnish concrete championships. » Match results » Individual results » League table
