There are about 300 recesses on one golf ball, and thanks to them, the ball flies three times farther than a smooth one. ... Balls of the same size...

Round 2 of Elitserien
11 Jun 2017 at 21:48 | Posted in: General | Views: 1614 | Comments: 0
We are now more than halfway through the league, two out of three weekends has been completed. This time in Uppsala where the home team should be able to gain some points on Skoghall. Did they? No, in the last game of this round Skoghall managed to beat Uppsala by eight strokes and hold on to a four point lead.

One more conclusion after this weekend is that Örebro, Haga and Jönköping are the teams which fights to remain in Elitserien after this season.

Örebro had a rough weekend. They came to the competition without a coach and they are too far behind with only two points. They did not manage to take a single point this weekend.

Jönköping took six points and have reached a total of eight points. Haga (my club) also has eight points after winning two games this weekend. We managed to win against Örebro and Jönköping.

The best player this round was Aki Sillman in Kungälv who averaged 19,9. Well done Aki!

My game was pretty good, I averaged 21,7 with a 26 the last round but I managed to have 29 aces in a row which is a new personal record :) Before this league started I was a little bit nervous. Would I manage to compete with the players in this league? Now I feel confident in myself and it was the right decision to change club. I really enjoy playing among and against good players :)

The next and final round will take place in Jönköping on concrete. You might think that Jönköping will have a massive advantage but in fact the course is not playable yet. It is a new course so nobody will know what balls to play or how to play it. I do think that Jönköping will have a small advantage and with help of that advantage they will manage to remain in Elitserien.

But I do know that Haga will fight and do all that we can to beat every team.

The current standing is:
Plac Lag S V O F Slag Poäng
1 Skoghalls BGK 14 13 0 1 1938 26
2 Uppsala BGK 14 11 0 3 1897 22
3 Kungälvs BGK 14 9 0 5 2043 18
4 Tyresö BGK 14 7 0 7 1987 14
5 Tantogårdens BGK 14 7 0 7 2007 14
6 Haga BGK 14 4 0 10 2074 8
7 BGK Jönköping 14 4 0 10 2114 8
8 Örebro BGK 14 1 0 13 2105 2
