Baruscotti wins in Quartino

The last weekend on the concrete course in Quartino (south of Switzerland, in the italian part), was played a tournament called « Trofeo Miraflores 2011”.
Like always in Quartino, a lot of players come here to play (this time 83 players from 3 countries: Italy, Switzerland and Germany).
The level of this tournament was pretty high and at the end 4 sudden-deaths was also played.
In the Junior Category, Emanuele Prestinari from GSP Cusano Milanino won with a very good 86. For the second and third place Lorenzo Levis (GSP Vergiate) and Melanie Huber (MC Mühlematt Dietikon) played 90 points. In the sudden-death, Lorenzo won at the lane 1 with an “Ace”.
In the Male-Oldtimers category, the winning goes to Luciano Passera (MC Lozza) that wins the sudden-death against René Schäppi (MC Verzasca Tenero). The 2 players did 90 points. Ennio Vanoni from MC Verzasca Tenero, reached the third place with 91.
In the Female-Oldtimers, Susy Goglione (GSP Le Palme) wins with a big advantage. In fact Susy played 86 points. The 2nd place went to Susy Schäppi from MC Verzasca Tenero with 92 and the third went to Ilona Iommarini from MC Bellinzona with 101 points.
In the female category, Nadia Genardini (GSP Le Palme) win with 99 points and for place 2 and 3, another sudden-death was played. At the end, at the second place, was Manuela Schuler (MC Ascona) with 100 points and at the third place Simona Antonelli from MC Monza.
In the male category, with the best result of the day, win Yvan Baruscotti from GSP Vergiate with 85 points, before Omar Maggi (MC Olten) that won the sudden-death against Sergio Prestinari (GSP Cusano Milanino). The 2 players played 87 points.
The best one-round result was played by Sergio Prestinari (GSP Cusano Milanino) and Ivano Molteni (MC Lozza) with 26 points.
In the team-ranking, the first place was reached by GSP Vergiate 1 with 235 points, the second place went to MC Lozza with 239 and the third place went to MC Verzasca Tenero with 245 points. » Results
