More than 1200 players participated in Skywalk Golf 11 February 2012, probably the largest annual minigolf competition in the world. The tournament is organized every year on three or four 18-hole temporary minigolf courses, along the “skywalks” (indoor shopping streets a few floors above ground level) of the city center of Des Moines, Iowa, USA.

This year’s event was sponsored by Hubbell Realty, and served as a fundraiser for The First Tee of Greater Des Moines. The First Tee is an organization that impacts the lives of young people around the City of Des Moines, by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
