Marcus Wüthrich is dead

This morning the global Minigolf community received a tragic message from Switzerland.

Well known profile Marcus "Hägar" Wüthrich, born 1963, EMF Secretary General, many times international referee and Swiss profile has passed away.

Minigolfnews has been given the information that Hägar died due to a unexpected and sudden heart failure.

The Minigolfnews staff would like to send our deepest condolences to his family and close firends.

It was with great surprise and a lot of grief that I knew now that our friend Marcus Wuthrich left us. He was a friend and a man who will be remembered by its form full being in minigolf. Goodbye Marcus. Ananias Quintano

Very sad news. I had the pleasure to play two rounds with Marcus in the British Open, he was always friendly & always freely gave advice. He was a very popular player in the UK and will be missed. My condolences to his family. R.I.P.Hagar
