Höfler and Lau wins in Kloten Teamgolf

Höfler and Lau wins in Kloten Teamgolf

The 17th International Teamgolf (two plays each lane and best score counts) was won this year by the two Germans Franz Höfler and Philipp Lau.

As in many years before it was a high class International starting field with stars like Reto Sommer, Michel Rhyn and Günter Inmann.

Also as usual in this modus the score could get really low, but anyway two remarkable sub-zero results where scored. Inmann and Rhyn scored 19 after missing lane 15 on the indoor 80% beton course. But before that the Swiss national team duo Michael Pfister and Omar Maggi scored a perfect 18 round. Even with this modus it’s quite rare to accomplish that on a beton course.

But neither of those pairs where even close to be in the top. Instead the two Germans from BGC Singen (Höfler and Lau) were fighting with mixed couple Vitus Spescha and Sandra Wicki for the win. And with 3 lanes to go Spescha and Wicki was in the lead but on the last 3 they lost two strokes to Höfler and Lau by ending 2-2-1. So in the end Höfler and Lau could be on top with 181 strokes, only one ahead of Spescha and Wicki.
