This year the Swedish Minigolf Federation will join a yearly recurring event called the week of Swedish Championships (SM-veckan). This is some sports that gathers their yearly Swedish Championships to one week and one city ion order to get better media coverage. This year this week is between 30th of June until 6th of July in the west Swedish city of Borås.

The Swedish Championships in minigolf will be played on felt on Wednesday to Friday in this week and will have live nationwide television for 2,5 h on Thursday and 2,5 h on Friday. The intention is that the audience should be able to see the finals of the stroke play on Thursday and finals in the match play on Friday. The Swedish Head Coach Jan Strandberg will help the Swedish nationwide public television company (SVT) as expert commentator on this two broadcastings.

Minigolf has also gotten recognition in advance for bringing maybe the best starting field in the whole week from an international perspective with 3 men's in the WMF ranking top ten and two ladies. Also the WMF number one Filip Svensson is the biggest name that TV will follow extra close.
