This weekend was played in the totally new course of Vinhais the Portuguese Cup. This competition as the specification of combine strokeplay with matchplay.

Saturday the participants divided in 3 classes, Men, Women and Youths, play 3 rounds of strokeplay to select the first 16 (Men); 8 (Women and Youth) and rank them in order to make the groups for the second day.

Sunday, the ones that were selected on the day before, started the matchplay competition until finding the winners.

In the men competition, Sebastião Campos (CM Porto), senior Portuguese International Player that will be in the Senior European Championship again this year made his way with a very consistent game, without any sudden death needed and defeating in the final Abílio Meneses that was the best Portuguese player in the last Men World Championship (Sweden).

In the women competition, Manuela Pinheiro (CM Costa Nova) won one more time the competition, defeating Anabela Pereira, a club friend, after a sudden death.

Finally, in the youth group the story line was almost the same with João Pedro Silva (Vizelgolfe) winnig the cup after beating Sílvia Oliveira, from the same club also, with a sudden death.
