Thomas Obertaxer was the best player at Austrian junior championships 2008,
played at the eternite course of UBGC Hörbranz. With an average score
21.00,
he was 3 points better than silver medalist Marc Cervinka, who played an
average 21.25.
Seven points behind Cervinka came bronze medalist Patrick Riener, with
average score 21.83.
Gold medal in female juniors went to Birgit Dallinger, with a very fine average
21.92. Also silver medalist
Karin Heschl played an excellent score
22.33.
Only three players participated in female juniors — the bronze medal went to
Nicole Pelinka with average score
30.25.
Medalists in schoolboys were Daniel Krof
(21.83),
Manuel Flicker
(23.67)
and Matthias Grossmann
(23.83).
In schoolgirls the medals were won by Lara Jehle
(23.08),
Jennifer Helm
(24.33)
and Roberta Rohregger
(26.83).
