Both have 11 active clubs today. Close behind is the Stockholm area in Sweden with 10 clubs. Helsinki in Finland is a position 4 and the rocket in recent years Moscow, Russia is on fifth position.

The analysis of this was made during early January 2009 by the Minigolfnews team mainly through surfing on the Internet. The statistics may include mistakes due to limited knowledge of what shall be included in some big city areas.

The town with greatest number of minigolf courses? Myrtle Beach and some other American towns have more than 50 minigolf courses. In one town.

Actually there could be even more clubs in the Moscow Area, but my Russian is a bit rusty and I only used the ones where I could find the word клуб which means Club in the Moscow list at the Russian Federation site: http://www.rusminigolf.ru/mgolf/courses.html
My assumption is that the rest is just Courses without a club.
