The last tournament of the italian indoor season has been played in Vedano al Lambro last weekend.

It was the Italian Cup / Lands' Cup.
The Italian Cup is open to 5-players club teams (the best of each Italian region from the previous season); The Lands' Cup is open to "regional" teams made of 5 players.

6 teams took part in the Italian Cup: MGC Novi Ligure (title defender, having won it in the last 2 years), GSP Vergiate, ASDMC Follonica, MC Terme Euganee, MC Quadrifoglio, SSV Naturns.

There had been a really hard "fight" with 3 teams playing at a really high level: GSP Vergiate (players: Roberto Garbui, Domenico Garbui, Lorenzo Levis, Marco Ambrosini, Ivan Baruscotti), MGC Novi Ligure (players: Emanuele Prestinari, Matteo Pirovano, Piero Porta, Gioacchino Ricchiuto, Paolo Porta), ASDMC Follonica (players: Antonio Goiorani, Lorenzo Bellucci, Lorenzo Ciompi, Antonio Di Bella).

During the first round Vergiate took the lead equalizing the course record with 102 strokes (25.50 average). Novi Ligure ended with 108 strokes, Follonica 109.
During the second round Novi Ligure came back very close to Vergiate, equalizing too the course record with 102 strokes and closing the gap only 1 stroke behind Vergiate (that ended 2nd round with 107 strokes). Also Follonica recovered some strokes, ending the second round with 104 strokes.
During the third round Vergiate equalized again the course record with 102 strokes, setting also the new course record on 3 rounds with 311 strokes (25.92 average), winning its 6th Italian Cup. MGC Novi Ligure got 104 strokes and enden 2nd, just 3 stokes behind Vergiate. 105 strokes for Follonica who ended 3rd with 318 strokes.
The 4th team, MC Terme Euganee, ended with a really big gap at 348 strokes.

About Lands' Cup, Region Lombardy didn't have big troubles to win as big favourite playing on the home course. 2nd place to Region Piedmont (all 10 players coming from MGC Novi Ligure). Region Tuscany got 3rd place after a quite close match with Region Südtirol.

The best overall player of the tournament was Antonio Di Bella (ASDMC Follonica) with 74 strokes (24-24-26). The best ladies player was Sara Marchiani (GSP Cusano) with 84 strokes (28-27-29). The best youth players were Lorenzo Levis (GSP Vergiate) and Nicola Bellucci (ASDMC Follonica) tied with 79 strokes (Lorenzo: 26-27-26, Nicola: 29-26-24).
