Fourteen years ago, Aalborg Minigolf Klub, arranged "Nordjyllands Open" for the first time. Aalborg Minigolf Klub is placed in the north of Jutland in Denmark and have, during the years, represented numbers of good players on a international level. This tournament is not very large (about 30 players), and was originally ment as a "time killer" during the winter, at a time were indoor minigolf was an almost unknown name.

To day we still enjoy ourselves and our guest´s with the tournament wich is become a prestige filled tournament. Normally we have the honour to welcome a "staff" of players from Sweden (for example Martin Lundell), but this year they couldn´t come.

Our indoor lanes is presented by 12 (small) felt lanes. Therefore the results do not have influenze on the players result calculation for the year. Even if the lanes are small, the difficulty is very high. Until this year no one ever succeeded to make the lanes in 12 strokes.

BUT, at Nordjyllands Open 2009, Allan Schwab (Aalborg Minigolf Klub) did it. He was warmed up the round before with 13 strokes. When he played the round of 12 he was flying, and he could immediatly receive the price (300 kr.) for the ultimate round. Nordjyllands Open is normally arranged in the first week-end in february every year. Anyone, with licence, is welkome to take part of the tournament.

For information, I can mention that Aalborg Minigolf Klub is arranging our outdoor tournament in the week-end 8th and 9th. August, more of this later on.
