Nigeria may soon become the first African nation ever to enter official competitions of World Minigolfsport Federation. Preparing for World Championships 2009, Nigerian minigolfers are planning to visit Europe in the spring of 2009, to get experience of the different playing systems used in European competitions.

Nigeria, Austria, Great Britain and Turkey are discussing the possibility of maybe playing a friendly tournament in the end of May 2009, for example in Vienna, Austria. Also other countries are welcomed to this event, as the first ever African team would play an official WMF competition in Europe.
