Top10-final on felt in Eskilstuna

Sweden 22 Mar 2009 at 16:43 | Published by: Nimalu | Views: 10505 | News search  | source: Eskilstuna BGS

Top10-final on felt in Eskilstuna This weekend the Top10-final on felt was played in the MunktellArena in Eskilstuna. Big favorite in class A was Lars Brown, Uppsala BGK and Lars started brilliant, winning the first 2 matches and scoring 25-26. However, everyone can have a bad day and Lars finished with only 1 victory in the 5 last matches. Still he had a chance to win before the last round, but he lost and reached only place 4 in the overall standings.

Winner was instead, a bit surprisingly, Bernt Gustavsson, Strängnäs BGK, who secured his victory by winning his last match, while Patrik Wass, Haga BGK and Robert Gustafsson, Örebro BGK took 2nd and 3rd place.

Class B was won by Daniel Söderqvist, Fröslunda BGK and class C by Daniel Johansson, Haga BGK.

The class for younger oldtimers was easily won by Lennart Jansson, Örebro BGK, while Bror Wallén, BGK Spiik, was best among the older oldtimers.

Best average among all players in the competition, was played by oldtimers Lars-Göran Bergh, Nyköping BGK, with 29,20. Still, he only reached place 6 in his class, losing 4 of his 9 matches......
