Six British players visited Wien, Austria on 19 – 22 March 2009, with funds granted by WMF, to practice different playing systems, and to receive minigolf theory lessons from Austrian coaches. The British delegation to Wien included Jon Angel, Ruth Bullin, David Corkett, Steve Gow, Chris Harding and Keith Kellard.

The weekend in Wien included playing practice on felt and eternite courses, video analysis of the playing technique of each player, and theory lessons in topics such as minigolf ball selection, spin, tournament preparation, nutrition, coaching, etc. The lessons were followed by exams, to ensure that the participants also learned their lessons. All participants received a WMF Minigolf Coach Education Diploma.

Later this year, some Austrian minigolf coaches will visit Great Britain, with funds granted by WMF, to offer more education to British minigolfers.
