Even though they had to give away the first two points of the season 08-09 in this Sundays Bundesliga gathering in Schriesheim, Hardenberg is now really close to another Bundesliga victory. This weekend though Mainz was the strongest team and won by four strokes. Mainz played an even game without any big mistakes today which was enough to lead to the victory. All players had an average between 30,0 and 31,8. Best in Mainz was Lucas Scholz (30,0) and Sascha Spreier (30,0).

4 strokes behind was Hardenberg adding another 8 points to their 30. Hardenberg is now 14 points ahead of Mainz with 20 points still in play. Something extraordinary must happen if Hardenberg shall not be the winner this season. The victory is even likely to happening already next round in the concrete of Mainz in two weeks. This weekend Hardenberg had problems keeping the whole team even. They had top players, with 3 men below 30 in average, but since Mike Mann didn’t had the best of days (36,3) it was not enough. Harald Erlbruch (31,5) was also not in his best mode but his older brother, Walter, showed to be the overall best with 28,5 in average.

Second best in the league was Dennis Kapke (28,8) , SG Arheilgen, only one stroke behind Walter and another German international, Marco Balzer, also showed a good game this weekend with 29,5 in average.

In the ladies Bundesliga Gabriele Rahmlow lead her BGC Uerdingen to victory this weekend. Her play of 88, on the three rounds played by the ladies, was by far the best results by all ladies. Uerdingen will however probably not have anything to do with the end victory in the ladies bundesliga. In the end this will most likely be a struggle between Mainz and Göttingen. Mainz is now 4 points ahead of Göttingen after ending in second place keeping Göttingen in third this weekend. In Mainz Alice Kobisch (33,0) and Nicole Gundert-Greiffendorf (32,7) showed a good game and in Göttingen Bianca Oberweg (33,7) was the top player.
