Appelscha ready to become Dutch Champion After the third round of the Dutch league, played on the eternite courses in Wageningen, Appelscha is the big favourite to win the league for the 2nd time in a row.

The start of MGC Appelscha 1 was not very good with a total of 96 strokes on the third place. But during the second and third round they proved to be the best. With the teamscores 89 and 87 and they took the first place.
Geldrop started beter with a second place in the first round (91) just behind De Putters with 90. After the third round Geldrop was still second with just one stroke ahead of Zoetermeer.

During the last round Appelscha was win with a 'steady' round of 90 strokes, just ahead of Geldrop with 91 and Zoetermeer with 93. The first team of Appelscha won with 362 strokes.

Best player this time was Natasja Klarenbeek (Geldrop) with 84 (20 - 22 - 21 - 21) three strokes ahead of Huub Botterberg, who played two rounds of 19 and ended with 87. Appelscha leads overall with 14 points three points ahead of Zoetermeer and Geldrop with one match to go on june 28th.
