Madara Kirša leads Latvian Trophy 2009

Madara Kirša won the first weekend of Latvian Trophy 2009, with average score 26.17 at the eternite of Joker. Mártinš Vilmanis was second, 3 points behind Madara, with average 26.67. Jánis Medveckis was third with average 27.17, after a tied score and sudden death play-off against Girts Ieleja.

Toivo Vällo of Estonia was 9th in the competition, with average 30.17. Estonian players have not visited international major tournaments since Steyr 2005.
