Portuguese National Championship

Portugal 08 Jul 2009 at 17:01 | Published by: agcampos | Views: 6176 | News search

Portuguese National Championship This weekend in the Lamego’s beton course, CM Porto and CM Costa Nova won the Portuguese national team championship. After six rounds, a lot of sun, some rain and big emotions, all come to the end with the victory of those two teams.

In men competition, CM Porto, who was the last year winner, showed that is alive and that has more than the usual 7 players, because there were three changes compared with the last year team. With an average of 28.2 and a difference of 11 strokes for the second place (MC Portugal), they revalidate the title. The team was composed by André Manuel, André Campos, Tiago Pinto, João Fontes, Eduardo Salazar, Domingos Silva and António Pinto (the last three will be part of the senior national team in August). The third place was to the CM Porto B.

In the ladies competition, CM Costa Nova stole the title to CM Porto (who was second), with an average of 32.1. Anabela Pereira, Cristina Fernandes and Gracinda Silva are the new champions.

In the other categories, male youths and seniors, CM Porto won all of them without big problems.
