Swiss championships 2009 was played at Florida eternite course in Studen on 17–19 July 2009. Rainy weather forced the organizers to reduce the preliminary rounds to 4 only. After this the competition continued with knock-out matchplay.

The preliminary rounds did not produce any clear favourites, as the score differences remained small after 4 preliminary rounds on eternite, which typically gives quite small score differences.

Mike Mann survived as the winner in men’s cup competition of 16 best players, beating Michel Rhyn in the final match for gold. Reto Sommer was third in men, after a victorious bronze match against Michel Eggenschwiler.

Women’s matchplay cup included four players only. Rita Ris won the final match for gold medal, against Anita Büttiker. Melanie Blaser defeated Sandra Wicki in the match for bronze.

Other Swiss champions of the year 2009 are: Manuela Bamert (schoolgirls), Kay Lödding (schoolboys), Roger Wicki (juniors), Esther Wicki (female seniors) and Pierre Köstinger (seniors).

Do you mean that Melanie Blaser got bronze medal in women:

http://www.minigolf-ch.info/esm2009/rangliste/finaldamen.htm

OK he got 5 points against 4 points of Wicki. But still the text "4. Rang" is misleading, people can be unsure if 5 points is better or worse than 4 points in the rules of your championships.

OK now corrected.

The result service could have been a bit more clear... this page says "3. Reto sommer" in one square, and "4. Reto Sommer" in another square:
