Last weekend the DMV and Minigolf-Marketing GmbH had their annual meetings in in Fulda in the middle of Germany. It’s located near Künzell where the 2011 Senior European Championships will be held.

Each year the DMV has elections of 50% of the board members for a period of two years. This year the elections had the following results :

* Treasurer: Robert Ebi confirmed for 2 years.
* Vice-President high-level sport: no new candidate and still vacant. (Reinhard Neitzke was resigning)
* Media manager: no new candidate and still vacant. (Walter Tuepe was resigning)
* Youth Officer: Barbara Schmid confirmed for 2 years.
* Equal opportunity commissioner: Elke Rath new elected but meanwhile resigned.

DMV President Dr Gerhard Zimmerman comments the elections for Minigolfnews:

“-For vice-president high-level sport Reinhard Neitzke and mediamanger Walter Teupe it was a consequent step according to the negotiations during last months and weeks. It was clear before the meeting, that both of them would not candidate again. So everything still is organized in a controlled way.”

He continues by commenting how the procedures are handled in Germany:

“-Opposite to the procedure in Sweden there is no committee in charge to prepare the new elections. It's completely up to the member federations to present candidates for elections.”

Also he clarifies that the elections of President was not on the agenda this time and will hence be so next year.

The motions didn’t include so many important decisions but two of them could maybe be worth noticing internationally, Gerhard continues:

The committees responsible for national teams and high level sport have been reorganized with more power and influence now for the sport director Michael Löhr and the youth head coach Petra Szablikowski.

The motion to turn back with the sport season to the calendar year was declined. The season in German Minigolf sport remains from 01.09. to 31.08. of the following year. "
