The Danish national league started this weekend at felt at Roslev IK.

Cold and windy conditions were an extra opponent for the players but this didn’t keeep away good results and tight matches.

Last year’s silver medalists from Putter Team Odense got a great head start winning all 5 matches while the defending champions of Aalborg Minigolf Klub got away with 6 points, the same as the new team in the league from Odense Minigolf Club.

The team from Minigolf Clubben Gelsted had a very poor weekend, scoring only 2 points, which was unexpected to most players.

Best player of the weekend was Kåre Thomsen of Aalborg Minigolf Klub with the great average of 34,8. This was 4 strokes ahead of Erling Jensen of Putter Team Odense. Third was Vincent Huus also of Putter Team Odense.

Jannick Skov has during the winter transferred to Odense Minigolf Club from Minigolf Clubben Gelsted. He is defending felt champion and this weekend he was a good gain for the newcomers in the league.

Next round will be played at a new course at the isle Lolland in the city Sakskøbing. That’s on May 8-9.
