Blue mania in Tyresö

Last weekend the third round of the Cup Stockholm series were played at the new courses of Tyresö. This will be the same course as where the Elitserien 2010 will have his premier next weekend.

During the practise and tournament it was already clear that this is one of the easier/smaller felt courses in Sweden, but because of it is felt a lot still can go wrong. Because this tournament is held 1 week before the elitserien will start at the same courses, a lot of top-players came to prepare themselves for the coming season which resulted in a lot of blue scores.

The homeplayers proved to be one of the favorites next weekend as they won both class A and B with outstanding scores. Mikael Samuelsson won in class A with a total of 50 in 2 rounds (25 average). Magnus Westerberg and Carl-Johan Ryner followed him with a total of 54 shots. Magnus won the sudden death at lane 4 making sure he got the second place.

In class B it was Birger Lindell (also Tyresö) who won with a score of 53 shots, just 1 shot ahead of Uppsalas Jakob Noreland with 54. Mikael Håkansson of Sundbyberg got the bronze with a blue score of 59.

Class C and D were dominated by Lars Wallentin (Haninge, 66) and Anders Öhman (Tantogården, 77).
