Wiener ASKÖ Team 21 (WAT 21) and BGCU Rot Gold won the men’s and the ladies category of the Austrian Bundelsliga that was playing the final 5th and 6th rounds on Friday and Saturday.

On the ladies side there has only been 3 teams playing in the Bundesliga this season and Rot Gold have had a quite comfortable route to the gold being a really strong team of international stars. Playing for the team Elisabeth Gruber and the sisters Karin and Birgit Heschl plus Austrian Senior star Elisabeth Kammerer. Lisa and the sister was also top three individually across the whole season and having the whole team in top individually is of course a great receipt for success.

In the men’s team it has been a struggle between WAT 21 and ASKÖ Bischofshofen. Those two teams have taken turn to be in the first and second position most of the weekends but after the two felt rounds before New Year when WAT 21 won it was hard for Bischofshofen to come back. And when WAT21 also took more point on the two playing days in Bischofshofen in May it was a clear advantage for WAT 21 for the title.

WAT 21 will now be playing as one of the major favorites for the Europacup title on their home ground in October. Let’s see if Austria’s best team on Felt can give the Hardis and the Swedish Team a match for the EC-title.

Best individually amongst the men’s this weekend was Herbert Zielger 84 on Friday and Reinhard Schuster 80 on Saturday.
