Girls World Champions Czech won’t defend the title in Sochi

The defending World Champions team 2008 of girl juniors, Czech Republic, will not defend their title in Sochi 2010. Czech Republic sends only two girl juniors to Youth World Championships 2010 in Sochi. The golden generation of Czech girl juniors are mostly over-age for juniors now, but also economical reasons possibly have a role in the situation.

Czech Republic has nominated these players to Sochi 2010:

Tomáš Klimek
Matej Novák
Vít Škaloud
Marek Smejkal
Marek Vlcek

Junior girls:
Olivia Prokopová
Karolína Jandová
