Mainz rules the German Championships

The winners in the German Championships are both from Mainz. Its Stefanie Kern and Lars Grieffendorf who won the matchplay in Osnabruck on Saturday.

The top ranked player Achim Braungart-Zink made it all the way to the final. Even if there was some drama on the way like in the semifinal against Walter Erlbruch as shown in the video below




In the final Lars Greiffendorf played very well and left Achim with not much of a chance, winning by 5-0.

The Bronze matches was won by Martin Stöckle against Walter Erlbruch.

In the Ladies class the highest ranked Nicole Warnecke was beaten in the semifinal by Bianca Oberweg. Bianca then lost the Final in a tight match against Stefanie Kern ending 2-1.

The Bronze matches was won by Nicloe Gundert-Greiffendorf against Warnecke.

The German Head Coach Michael Neuland also announced the Teams for the European Championships in Predazzo.
