There are about 300 recesses on one golf ball, and thanks to them, the ball flies three times farther than a smooth one. ... Balls of the same size...

Controversy on nominations

Controversy on nominations

After the Austrian Head Coach Christian "Gogo" Gobetz a few days ago announced his nominations for Predazzo a controversial scandal is about to be uncovered. On a We-Forum Thread (on German) it’s a hectic debate why the Austrian star player Christian Freilach is not included in the Team. After a long thread debate he himself revels a strange story behind it.

It seems like (according to Christian that has confirmed this in a mail to Minigolfnews) that the Austrian President Mr Leo Moik had given Gobetz an order not to include Freilach in the Team for Predazzo. First Leo seemed to threat Gobetz on his position and later he threatens to resign from his Presidency. These threats have also been given directly to Freilach by Moik on the course this weekend.

In the light of this Christian Freilach stepped back and let some other player take his position to Predazzo in order not to through the Austrian Federation into Chaos as he expresses it.

@ Hans
As you have edited the article (course instead of phone), my posting seems to be a little bit abstruse... ;-)

In the main the article is correct, but the discussion was not at the phone, but on the last day of the competition of the Austrian Championship in Bischofshofen at the course. It was a great performance of Gogo, that he could win despite of these troubles!

It seems there's one coach too many in Austria.
