The Crazy Golf course on Princess Parade in Blackpool, England is now open.

Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels and Blackpool Fulfilling Lives joined forces to refresh and reopen the Princess Parade Crazy Golf course on Blackpool's North Shore in 2019 and a number of other people and groups have been a part of the community project. You can see what the course has looked like over the last few years in some of my previous posts and in this guest blog from July 2019.

The minigolf project has helped homeless and disadvantaged people in Blackpool by giving them the chance to bring the course up to scratch so it is playable and then staffing it for the season. It's been wonderful to give people the opportunity to receive work experience, while also bringing an historic, but disused, miniature golf course back to life.

I first played the course when I was a kid back in the 1980s. Emily and I have been to the course a number of times over the years, but had never been able to have a game on it until now.

We're really looking forward to returning to Blackpool again later this summer and playing a few more rounds on the course.
