There are about 300 recesses on one golf ball, and thanks to them, the ball flies three times farther than a smooth one. ... Balls of the same size...

Martina Danner of Austria won our public vote, and was second in the expert vote, for Female Junior Player of the Year 2010. Anne Bollrich of Germany was second in the public vote and first in the expert vote. When these two votes are combined, Danner gets 12,95% of the votes and Bollrich gets 12,55% of the votes.

Our public voters respected also Olivia Prokopová (Czech Republic) into the Dream Team of top four players, after some huge successes at American competitions (2nd at US Masters 2010 and at Putt-Putt US Championships 2010). Lina Liljegren of Sweden took the fourth place in Dream Team 2010 in our public vote.

The expert voters respected Lara Jehle (Austria) as the third best player of the year, and Jasmin Ehm (Germany) as the fourth best Dream Team player of the year 2010.

The expert vote included these persons: Jan Strandberg (SWE), Michael Neuland (GER), Claudio Santopietro (ITA), Paolo Porta (ITA), Pasi Aho (FIN), Peter Sørensen (DEN), Honza Prokop (CZE), Petra Szablikowski (GER), Jan Pergl (CZE), Manfred Lindmayr (AUT).

Putt-Putt should have refreshed their brand long ago by adopting non-symmetric outlines. Maybe a reason for their decline in the 2000´s?

JJM, As in the UK, we won't be seeing eternit in the USA. We are likely to see more adventure golf- especially since the number of Putt-Putt facilities continues to decrease.

Why do they put felt on them anyway? This happens in many countries, also in Tel Aviv is or was such a course. I must have asked this before, but I have forgotten the answer.

An interesting psychlogical difference between countries: Russians play adventure golf, and then in a few years they give up all of it to adopt the style of game promoted by WMF. This hasn´t gone so smoothly in USA and Britain...

One of the only un-felted 18-hole Eternit courses we've played in the UK was also the cheapest course in the country! £1.20 per round! A bargain - even if the 18th hole was a Plant Pot!? http://hamandeggerfiles.blogspot.com/2009/08/minigolf-course-visit-no-149-cae-glas.html

That's a shame Dimitry, but it will never happen in the UK. Eternit courses will never be built as they wouldn't be economically viable to build & run as a business.

Russian Federation Doublin (Dmitry Pritykin)

Yes, we do that in Russia. At least we did when we had no standard courses.
Now that there are new eternit lanes, the adventure golf competitions that used to be plentiful are somehow not treated seriously. There is now just one major "adventure golf tournament with minigolf balls" event per year and a few local ones.
And even this major thing didn't get to the All-Russian rating system, I'm afraid.

On second thought, I am aware of adventure MINIgolf also in another country: Russians play some adventure golf tournaments with minigolf balls. Ukrainians not, I think.

I agree it'd be tough to compare John, but at least some may get a mention in the poll! I would be happy to switch to golfball only tournaments but I think I may be in a minority in the UK!

Finland JJM (John Mittler)

That wouldn´t solve the problem of comparing Brits with Americans, who seldom meet each other in competition, and play with different ball material. Is Britain actually the only country where adventure golf tournaments are played with something else than golf balls? The tournaments that I am aware of in USA, China, Czech and Sweden all allowed golf balls only (except the WMF events).

Then why not have a Dream Team Poll for Adventure & MOS style courses seperately? Not just Junior Girls - all categories, then UK players may deservedly get included at last.
