I guess they will have it start at the normal times... It will be impossible to start playing around 12 or so because then you would have to play untill 12 in the evening. That would be just absurd. \r\n\r\nBelieve me... I speak from experience

Why would it be impossible to play from 12 to 12 (or 11)? From 8 to 8 (or 7) goes as well and has been!

Because I think your whole body needs to adapt/change before you are able to do that for a few days in a row. \r\n\r\n\"Normal\" persons sleep between 22:00 and 7:00... Or at least something like that. When you change the times people will only be sleeping 0:30 or later. Then they miss the important breakfast because you need the rest. Also it is impossible to have a proper diner in the evening. \r\n\r\nBesides that, if this will be the case, also the training-times should be changed to afternoon and evening training, skipping morning. That just to make it possible for the people to get used to the times.

Getting spectators _on site_ is difficult for any sport. When did you last time visit as spectator a golf tournament, or wrestling, gymnastics, swimming world cup, billiards, rally, judo, karate, ice skating, horse riding, skateboarding, slalom, snowboarding, skiing...\r\n\r\nTelevision is the big place. The truth is that audiences are small on site in many of the biggest sports, including golf, swimming etc. Just some days ago I watched swimming world cup on television, from Berlin, Germany. The stadium was nearly empty, not much audience on site, but a global audience on television.

Broadcasting a minigolf competition on TV or Internet is full of small technical problems.\r\n\r\nThe ball is small, and very difficult to see if the ball has nearly same colour with the lane. (Imagine watching ice-hockey played with a white puck.)\r\n\r\nWhat if a coach or player comes standing between the camera and the player?\r\n\r\nThen the problem, which group should the camera follow, and how will the audience understand the total scoring situation?

The size and colours together make a problem for any video camera.\r\n\r\nVideo compression methods drop \"unessential\" small details off, to make the data stream smaller.\r\n\r\nIn our sport it is the smallest detail on the whole screen, the ball, that is most important. But it gets easily lost in video compression, especially when the ball moves fast, or the colour contrast is poor between the ball and the lane.

I see your point...\r\n\r\nDying people, obvious prime market for a dying sport?

You misread my little joke. You try to get the audience to be interested to come and see. In this particular example majority of seniors have nothing better to do anyways. I highly doubt the sport is dying but it has to be made more lively to get the audience in.
