The open regional championchip of Salzburg was held last week, 25 January, in Sport Oase Salzburg.

Best player was, one more time, Reinhard Schuster, who opened up the new saison like he played the whole year 2008. The average score of 21,00 in 4 rounds by the veteran player was unbeatable at this day.

Pasi Aho, the new finnish national teams headcoach (playing for Neutraubling, Germany), was on the way to win mens category. He was leading before the final round. But excellent scores of his oppenents (Krof, Gebetshammer, Lackner) forced him to step down from the top-position. For Robert Krof it was a nice win against home course player Michael Gebetshammer, who shared the honour, together with Horst Spirk (Telfs), to play the only blue colored rounds (19). Daniel Krof followed this father by winning the junior category (23,00 average).
