Italia League 2nd day: nothing new, Vergiate and Cusano on top

Italy 02 May 2011 at 22:18 | Published by:  | Views: 9293 | News search

Italia League 2nd day: nothing new, Vergiate and Cusano on top The 2nd day of Italia League 1 has been played on miniaturegolf course in Novi Ligure, which had been partly renewed last winter and forced players to change the lines and balls they could play in the past years. Some new lanes like "Austrian V" and "Plateau" had been installed and this made the course more tricky than in the past.

But also with these changes nothing new in the technical values of the italian league 2011.

GSP Vergiate in the men event and GSP Cusano in the ladies event dominate also this day of the league.
while GSP Cusano is already sure to be the winner of the ladies league 2011 with 8 points advantage on the second team, GSP Vergiate has still to make some work in the last day of the league, next 25th June in Siusi. It should be an easy task, because it is enough for them to get a 4th place with a victory of GSP Cusano, and a 6th place with a victory of MC Monza in the last day.

The ladies event has been without history as usual. Cusano's team is made by the best 3 italian players at the moment, Anna Bandera, Sara Marchiani and Antonella Flamini and it is not possible for any other team to fight them for the victory. This time they got a gap of 46 strokes on the second team, MMC Paderno. This is the ranking of the ladies team event:

1 G.S.P. CUSANO 72 71 66 71 280 23,3
2 M.M.C. PADERNO 93 79 75 79 326 27,2
3 M.C. MONZA 95 75 92 75 337 28,1
4 M.G.C NOVI LIGURE 92 91 85 85 353 29,4

The ranking of men event has been identical to the first day, with GSP Vergiate that defeated GSP Cusano and MC Monza which got 2nd and 3rd place. This time, MC Monza had to make a playoff with MT Amatese to get the 3rd place.
The home team of MGC Novi Ligure had some main absences and could not use the "home" factor to get any better than 5th place.

This is the ranking of the men team event:

1 G.S.P. VERGIATE 145 123 137 129 534 22,3
2 G.S.P. CUSANO 145 136 140 128 549 22,9
3 M.C. MONZA 140 142 142 137 561 23,4
4 M.T. AMATESE 143 140 139 139 561 23,4
5 M.G.C. NOVI LIGURE158 151 154 135 598 24,9
6 C.P. ALTO ADIGE 158 157 154 155 624 26,0

About individual results, the best male player has been Sergio Baruscotti (Vergiate) which won the individual ranking with a total of 81 strokes. He has also been the only player to get a 18-round during the tournament. Second place for Gioachino Ricchiuto (MC Monza) with 83 strokes, in 3rd place Rudi Giroldini (Vergiate) and Paolo Porta (Novi Ligure) with 84 strokes.
The ladies ranking has been totally dominated by Anna Bandera (Cusano) with 84 strokes, leaving back far Sara Marchiani which was second with 96 strokes.
These are the main positions of the individual ranking:

MALE

1 146 Sergio Baruscotti GSP Vergiate 21 18 22 20 20,3 4 81
2 115 Gioachino Ricchiuto MC Monza 21 19 22 21 20,8 3 83
