The Minigolf Tour 2017 in Portugal wrapped up play the weekend of January 6, 2018. The Tour consisted of 3 events starting in October at “União Desportiva Praiense” in the Azores, moving to Family Golf Park, Vilamoura in November for the second leg and finishing in January in Costa Nova. Each stage played 3 rounds on both Saturday and Sunday, using strokeplay. Complete results of each stage and of the points earned can be found in the attached link.
The winner of the tournament was Amadeu Costa, from the "Cultural Association of the Deaf of Águeda" with a total of 310 points, won over the three stages. He showed a great consistency throughout the three stages, and although he never managed to finish in the 1st place for any individual event, his regular game allowed him to score the points needed to finish in the top position in the Overall Ranking. Filipe Costa, a member of the jury, said at the awards ceremony that the tournament was fantastic, having passed within the deadlines, and with a total membership of close to 40 players throughout the 3 stages.
The dates and format for the 2018 tour have not been finalized but the organizers are looking at ways to expand the participant base and will announce the information when known.
