Tantogårdens BGK players Kosti Raesola (Finland) & Gustav Björnberg (Sweden) won the Finnish Eternite Marathon in Rahola, Tampere, for the 3rd year in a row, with a 28 points margin ahead of Eetu Ikola & Aki Sillman on second place.
Kosti Raesola (formerly: Salonen) has won this international competition 6 years in a row, with three different playing partners: with Gustav Björnberg 2011 - 2013, with Riku Pennanen 2008 & 2010, and with Ari Åman 2009.
The overnight tournament is played non-stop for some 28 hours in a row, and of each pair one player is playing while the other is resting or sleeping. 48 players participated this year: 31 from Finland, 9 from Germany, 6 from Italy, 1 from Sweden, and 1 from Russia. Some handicap points are given to players of lower skill categories.
Individually the best players of the competition were 1. Kosti Raesola (average 20.42), 2. Gustav Björnberg (avg 20.58) and 3. Eetu Ikola (avg 21.58).
A highlight of the tournament was two consecutive 18-rounds played by Kosti Raesola. This rare achievement was only the third in Finnish minigolf history, and the second in the playing career of Kosti. » results
