The pairings for round 3 of British Matchplay Championships were drawn in a live Internet broadcast on 29 July 2009.

- Ted McIver vs. Brad Shepherd
- Andy Exall or Matthew Harding vs. Anthony Pope
- John Moore vs. Chris Harding or Chris Jones
- Gareth Holmes vs. Terry Exall

Eight players survive to 3rd round of this knock-out competition. Two of the matches of round 2 have not been played yet: Andy Exall vs. Matthew Harding and Chris Harding vs. Chris Jones.

The first match of this all-season tournament was played on 13 February 2009. The final match for gold is scheduled to be played on Saturday 24 October 2009 in Hastings.
