German nominations for Sochi

Germany 18 Jun 2010 at 22:51 | Published by: Hans | Views: 5035 | News search

German nominations for Sochi Today the German Junior Head Coach, Petra Szablikowski, announced the German Team traveling to Sochi in August.

The Germans are as usual traveling with two full teams and this year the German Girls Team looks really strong. The boy’s teams are a more inexperienced team with many new names.

The Girls Team:

Anne Bollrich, SG Arheilgen
Anna Nitschke, SG Arheilgen
Jasmin Ehm, BGC Celle
Vanessa Peuker, BGC Dormagen

The Boys Team:

Gerrit Below, MC Flora Elmshorn
Phillip Lewin, MSK Neheim-Husten
Thomas Sieber, MSK Olching
Robin Hettrich, MGC Dormagen-Brechten
Phillip Lau, MGF Hilzingen
Andreas Schneider, SG Arheilgen
Sebastian Peffer, 1. MGC Köln

We will most likely see many early nominations this year to secure that visa-application can be proceeded. It’s a really unusual procedure in Germany to not have the German Championships as a selection competition for the national teams.

In Sweden the nomination dates are set to the 21st of July only 2 weeks until the team are planned to travel to Russia. This dates seems strangely late in perspective of what happened to the Swedish Team for the Nations Cup.
