WMF Odense: the new rules
27 Jul 2009 at 08:06 | Posted in: Rules | Views: 3980 | Comments: 3
WMF has recently sent to all member countries the material for Delegates Conference (Odense, Denmark on 16 August 2009), including numerous proposals for changes in WMF rules, candidates for WMF elections, and other information.

WMF has not published the conference material on the Internet yet (like EMF did in 2008, see this page). Actually some members of WMF board have done their best to prevent this material from being discussed in public.

As minigolfnews.com reporter Hans Bergström tried to get a copy of WMF conference material from Executive Committee, Roger Cadosch required him to make a commitment that Hans will not show the material to anyone else, and he will not publicly discuss anything what is said in the conference material.

WMF Executive Committee has been unwilling to send any conference material to me, despite several requests, including an explanation for what purpose I would use the material, so I collected the information from contact persons in various member countries of WMF.

In this blog I discuss the proposed new rules, which will be handled in Odense. In my next blog I will discuss the elections and WMF budget 2010–2011. This information is top secret: for your democratic eyes only.

Surpricingly I recived this mail from Roger when askin for the documents in my role as editor of Minigolfnews, so its probably meant not to be spread outside the members at least.

"Hello Hans

Thanks for the reminder. Please find enclosed the materials to the conference.

This is an internal WMF document and not meant to be spread or published on the internet; it is for your eyes only….

Also, I trust that you do not start any discussion about the content in the internet prior to the conference.

Best regards,

Roger"

Since Roger Cadosch sent the DC agenda to members and candidate members of the WMF, all officials and committee members (which makes a lot of people altogether) and did not mention anything in the sense that those materials were confidential, we can hardly speak about real conspiracy, I think.

On the other hand, I concur that it would be nice to have the agenda available for download at minigolfsport.com too.
