Ferri - Flamini take a clear victory in Vedano

The 10 rounds pair marathon played on Vedano al Lambro (Italy) indoor course is now a real "winter european championship" for minigolf players.

This edition showed 45 pair with really strong players coming from all Europe: Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Czech Republic, Norway, France and Portugal. Of course, almost all the best Italian players didn't miss the chance to compete in this real big event of the minigolf winter.

The world champion Filip Svensson and many other European top players made the challenge in Vedano really exciting with some very good results.

The team from MC Aponense, Gino Ferri - Antonella Flamini took their second victory in this tournament (the first in 2007) thanks to a very outstanding perfomance by Gino that played 6 rounds in blue average (24.00) with this fantastic serie of rounds: 24-24-27-24-24-21.
The total score of the winning team is 252 strokes (25.2 average)

No one could keep this rhythm, the winner from last edition Pinton-Marchiani could just save the podium after losing a playoff with the team Boris Arzuffi - Omar Maggi, that scored an ace at lane 4. Both team ended 6 stroked behind the winners, with 258 (25.8 avg) .

The best foreign tema is Jana Nakladalova - Günther Inmann which get a very good 5th place with 263 strokes (26.3 avg) . Günther got the same result last year playing with Katherina Tietzova.
Other two foreign teams could manage to reach the top 10 place: 7th the Norvegian team Lars Kvael - Kjell Nihus with 265 strokes, 8th the Swiss team Reto Sommer - Bruno Ruch with 266 strokes.

No Swedish teams in the top 10 but a very special result by the "old" evergreen class player Jan Strandberg that could able to equalize the course record on one round with 21 strokes (2 at lane 2, 5, 16).

These are the top 10 teams of the tournament:

1 FLAMINI - FERRI 252 25,2
2 ARZUFFI - MAGGI 258 25,8
3 PINTON - MARIANI 258 25,8
4 CARDALANA - ALEMANNO 261 26,1
5 NAKLADALOVA - INMANN 263 26,3
6 CRESPI - CICERI 265 26,5
7 KVAEL - NIHUS 265 26,5
8 RUCH - SOMMER 266 26,6
9 DELLASEGA - MORANDI 266 26,6
10 PORTA - BELLUCCI 267 26,7

The individual results has been really excellent with 50 blue rounds, the best 10 single players of the tournament has been the following:

1 Gino Ferri ITA 24 24 27 24 24 21 144 24
2 Massimiliano Ciceri ITA 26 25 23 24 27 125 25
3 Antonio Di Bella ITA 25 29 26 23 24 127 25,4
4 Paolo Porta ITA 25 27 24 26 26 25 153 25,5
5 Omar Maggi SUI 27 25 28 25 23 128 25,6
6 Jan Stranderg SWE 27 25 28 21 27 128 25,6
7 Cristian Pinton ITA 26 27 25 26 25 129 25,8
8 Roberto Mariani ITA 28 25 23 27 26 129 25,8
9 Lars Kvael NOR 27 27 28 24 23 129 25,8
10 Emanuele Prestinari ITA 26 26 25 27 26 130 26

The tournament in Vedano is becoming year by year one of the most important and prestigious events of minigolf winter, thanks to Alberto Pirovano and his organizing staff.
