Mertens and Janssens are Belgian champions

Carsten Mertens and Greta Janssens won Belgian championships 2009, which were arranged on three weekends in September, at three minigolf courses: Rozemaai (eternite), Namur (beton) and Gembloux (felt).

Carsten Mertens won men’s competition with total score 253, which includes 3 rounds eternite with average 23.00, 3 rounds beton with average 31.67, and 3 rounds felt with average 29.67. Raymond Leemans was second in men with total score 264, and E. Ottaviani was third with total score 273.

Greta Janssens took gold in women, with the third best total score of all players, 268 (E 23.67, B 33.33, F 32.33). H. Calmant was second in women with total score 293, and Catherine Massem was third with total score 296.
